Testimonials

Great great great experience

Merzouga Journeys took us on a three-night, four-day Sahara tour. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Hassan is a wonderful, experienced guide who is also a very safe driver. The roads through the Atlas Mountains were occasionally treacherous, but we never had to fear because he is a great driver. He has a terrific sense of humour as well as a thorough understanding of local Berber culture and music. The accommodations we stayed in during our trip were excellent. I’ll never forget the night in the desert, lying under a blanket of stars… I’d highly suggest Desert Merzouga Tours, and I want to return there one day.

Desert Merzouga Tours was the highlight of our Morocco trip

If your experience is anything like ours, you cannot go wrong with this firm.
We were picked up in Fes and driven to Merzouga, with several excellent breaks along the way (coffee in Ifrate and monkeys on the road in the Atlases), making a lengthy journey feel short. We arrived in time for a sunset camel ride, which we repeated at sunrise. The tent accommodations were outstanding. The next day was a trip to the gorges, with an outstanding lodging choice (XALUCA). Finally, we descend the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, with a gentle handoff to our riad.

Do an extra day with Desert Merzouga Tours if you can afford it. Outside of the cities, I felt like I was a bigger part of the country than I had been before. They do an excellent job, and we have fallen in love with Morocco as a result of their efforts.
