Fantastic experience for camel trekking and overnight Merzouga camp
They picked me up at my riad at the agreed-upon time, even though I had made the reservation 5 months prior. They upgraded me to the luxury camp even though I had booked the ordinary one because the other one was filled and they thought it would be a better experience for me. And it most likely was, given that I had the entire camp to myself after a group was canceled.
I’m in luck! I had a great day and was made to feel welcome by everyone who greeted me with a smile. Special thanks to Mohamed, my camel man, for being very friendly, and Mohamed the 2nd, my camel, for taking me. An experience to remember! I’m delighted I made my reservation with them.
Excellent experience!
The hosts were extremely responsive on WhatsApp and addressed all of our questions.
We went on the basic one-day tour, which included dinner, a night in the camp (reminder: bring enough clothes! ), and breakfast. The dinner was delicious, and we enjoyed it.
Because we arrived late at the hotel, they suggested that we be driven to the camp rather than riding camels, because riding camels after sunset could be dangerous.
In the evenings, there were activities around a campfire where they taught us how to play the drums.
The second day, we rode camels back to the hotel for around 1.5 hours.
Overall, we had a fantastic day and were quite satisfied.
