Your 5 days tour from Marrakech to Fes begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. As you start your adventure, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the trip, we’ll stop at many spots to take in the stunning landscape and tour the historic Telouet Kasbah, formerly the great stronghold of the El Glaoui dynasty, also known as the Palace of Glaoui.
When you get to Ait Ben Haddou about midday, you can have lunch before exploring the lovely Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This historic landmark has served as the setting for many renowned films and television shows, including The Mummy, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones episodes.
Continuing our adventure, we will visit Ouarzazate, also known as the Hollywood of Africa and a gateway to the desert. You’ll discover the famed Atlas Studios, the world’s largest film studio. You may explore the studio sets or visit the Taourirt Kasbah, another impressive fortified town originally owned by the El Glaoui family. Begin your second day of 5 days tour from Marrakech with a delicious breakfast at your hotel before we go for Skoura, a breathtaking oasis with over 4000 hectares of palm palms. This location was historically an important stopover for camel caravans moving between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean to Sub-Saharan Africa. At Skoura, you will visit the majestic Amridil Kasbah, which provides insights into daily life within its walls over 300 years ago.
After discovering the Kasbah, we continue on to Kelaat M’Gouna, which is home to the famous Rose Valley. If you visit in the spring, you will be able to wander down the valley and see the flowering roses in their full glory.
Leaving Kelaat M’Gouna behind, we continue our journey via picturesque Berber villages towards Bou Tharar. From there, we’ll take an exciting off-road journey to Dades Valley. Along the route, we will stop to visit a Nomadic Berber family living in a mountain cave, where you can enjoy a warm cup of tea and learn about their unique way of life firsthand.
When we arrive at Dades Valley, we’ll check into your hotel and give you some time to relax. You may take a leisurely walk in Dades Valley or join a guided climb into Monkey Fingers Canyon, which has intriguing rock formations, slot canyons, and stunning views.
As the evening approaches, taste a delicious supper before retiring to your accommodation for a pleasant night’s sleep, taking in the serene environment of Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we continue to the Todra Gorges, the course of the Todra River has carved a large canyon through the mountains – making a high red cliff canyon. In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where we change to camels and cross the sandy desert. We will stop to enjoy the magical sunset on top of a high dune. Then continue to the luxurious desert camp. Here you can enjoy the music of the Berber drums while dancing around the campfire, under a vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Wake up early in the morning to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We spend the day exploring the Merzouga region. The area has so many incredible sites, from dunes, wild lakes, mines, and fossil areas to fabulous oases, which are perfect locations for various outdoor sports.
First, we started our 5 days desert tour from Marrakech, driving off-road to visit an ancient delineator mine. After that, we go to see the nomads in their tent, which is handwoven. We will learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is the village of Khamlia, where we will enjoy the Gnaoua music and dance performances. Its inhabitants are originally from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that, we will take a walk through a palm grove. Then we will drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called Lake of the Flamingos. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

After a walk in the souk of Rissani, we continue to Erfoud where we visit one of the fossilized marble workshops.
After that, we drive along the Ziz River, and we stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Free time for lunch in Midelt. Then we continue to the cedar forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Free time to feed them while walking in the forest. Then we will visit Ifrane, famous for its low temperature, snow, and alpine-style houses – No wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco.
