Overview
Camel trekking and 2 nights in Merzouga desert camp is one of the best Sahara desert activities we offer our guests in the sand dunes of Erg-Chebbi, for an amazing experience of a lifetime. In this experience, you will ride a camel, spend 2 nights in the Sahara desert camp behind the sand dunes and visit a nomadic Berber family. You will also enjoy a beautiful sunset and sunrise, taste delicious Moroccan dishes, and watch a magical night full of stars. Our Merzouga Camel Trekking offers 2 desert camp options:
– The luxury desert camp (private tents with toilet and shower).
– The standard desert camp (private tents with shared bathroom and shower).
Itinerary Program: Merzouga camel trekking with 2 night in desert camp
On this 2 nights camping trip in the desert of Merzouga, we will meet at the Hotel / Riad. In the evening, after a short rest at the hotel, we start camel trekking around 5 p.m. to the Sahara desert camp through the wonderful sand dunes of Erg-Chebbi for an hour and a half.
On our way to the desert camp, we will enjoy the breathtaking views of the sand dunes, we will also stop in the middle of the dunes to watch a wonderful sunset. We’ll continue our trek to the camp, where we’ll spend a fantastic night. We’ll listen to Berber music with locals singing and dancing around the campfire after dinner. Later, when the sky is clear, you will enjoy a wonderful night filled with stars and sleep in individual tents.
The next day, we recommend you wake up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the sand dunes, enjoy the beauty of the Sahara desert, and meditate to feed your soul. After breakfast, we will ride camels to visit a nomadic family and learn about their way of life. For lunch, you will enjoy Berber pizza in a typical house, but first, you will see how to prepare it.
After lunchtime and relaxing, we will return by camel to the desert camp where we will spend the second night. When we arrive at the camp, we walk to the high sand dunes to watch the sunset and play with sandboard if we wish, take nice pictures and videos. Later we will have dinner at the camp and enjoy unforgettable moments.
On the last day, if you want to witness the sunrise over the sand dunes, get up early and admire the magnificence of the Sahara desert. After breakfast and shower, we ride camels back to the original starting point or we can transfer you directly from the camp to the village.

INFORMATION
- How we will meet in Merzouga?
In case you have a rental car, we will meet you in our Hotel in Merzouga where you will have room to leave your luggage and take a shower as you head back from your desert camel trek. Besides, if you come by bus, we will meet you at the bus station in Merzouga and then take you to our hotel.
- How to get to Merzouga Desert if you are not using our Services from Marrakech or Fes?

From Fes: There is a daily bus leaving Fez around 20:00 at night and arrive at Merzouga around 05:00 in the morning. The bus called (SUPRATOURS).
From Marrakech: There is a daily-day bus leaving Marrakech around 08:00 in the morning and arriving at Merzouga around 20:00 at night. The bus called (SUPRATOURS).
