Trip itinerary

Day 1: Travel from Casablanca to Fes via Rabat and Meknes.

On the first day of our Tour, we will meet you at your accommodation / or at Casablanca airport and start our 6 days tour in Morocco from Casablanca to Marrakech. We will visit the largest mosque Hassan II in Casablanca. After that, we will then travel to Fez via Rabat, which is the administrative capital of Morocco, and one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. We will discover the best attractions of this city, such as the Royal Palace and its gardens. The Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, Chellah, and Kasbah Oudaya. In the afternoon, we’ll hit the road and head directly toward Meknes, another important imperial city of Morocco.

We’ll also see the magnificent Bab El Mansour Gate, the Sahrij Souani Bassin, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, we continue our journey to Volubilis, also known as Walili in Berber, a partially excavated Berber and Roman city in Morocco. located near the city of Meknes and commonly regarded as the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Mauritania. developed from the 3rd century. In the evening, we will arrive in Fez and spend the night with dinner included in a Riad / or traditional Hotel in the heart of the old medina.

Day 2: Fes Sightseeing Tour.

After breakfast, you will start to discover Morocco’s most historical and cultural city. In Fez “the spiritual city of Morocco” you will explore the medina, the old city, see its architecture. Our guided tour of Fez includes many monuments, such as the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen or the Royal Palace with its colourful mosaic architecture and golden doors. The legendary Chaouwara tanneries are the largest leather workshop in the city, built in the 11th century.

The Kairaouine Mosque (the ancient school of Islamic learning), and also one of the oldest universities in the world, although non-Muslims are not allowed in. You can admire the mosque courtyard from the doors. The Madrasa of Al-Attarine, and the Najjarine marble fountain, a religious school with some of the most stunning Islamic architecture, are both worth seeing. The Medersa of Bou Inania is one of the most architecturally beautiful theological universities in Fez.

You will have time for lunch in a local Moroccan restaurant. After discovering the arch of Bab Boujloud is that its mosaics change colour from blue on the outer wall to green on the inner wall to reveal the sacred colour of Islam. Day 3: From Fes to Merzouga desert via Ifrane, Cedar forest and Erfoud.

After breakfast, we will continue our 6-day Morocco Tour from Casablanca, leaving Fez and driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in the town of Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”. We will stop in the cedar forest near Azrou, where we can observe the Barbary apes. Afterward, we will continue our way to Midelt, the famous apple village, where we will have free time for lunch.

Then, in the afternoon, we will head into the Sahara desert towards the Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m), passing through small Berber villages and the beautiful Ziz Valley, located near the town of Errachidia. Then we continue to Merzouga through Aoufous and Erfoud, in 2 hours of driving, we will connect with the magical land of sand dunes (Erg-Chebbi) where we will have dinner and stay in a local hotel / Riad.

Day 4: Merzouga sightseeing tour and Camel ride.

After breakfast, we will start our journey through the sand dunes of Erg-Chebbi. We will explore many interesting places in the area, such as: Lake Merzouga (not always full of water) to see the types of birds (ducks and flamingos) that come to live in this lake, especially in spring. Later, we will visit the village of Khamliya where we will listen to African music (Gnawa) performed by black African people, then we will continue our tour through the desert off road to the black desert behind the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit an abandoned village where mineral fossils are exploited and then visit a nomadic Berber family to learn about their way of life.

Return to Khamliya for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon you will begin the adventure of a camel ride through the beautiful and unique orange sand dunes to the desert camp. A great experience where you can feed your soul, enjoying the beautiful sunset from the middle of the dunes. Dinner and night will be at the camp, there will be music and you can enjoy yourself in the dunes under millions of stars.

Day 5: From Merzouga to Dades valley via Rissani, Todra Canyons and gorges.

Wake up early morning to see the beautiful sunrise over the amazing sand dunes. then mount the camels back to the hotel where you will make the breakfast. travel to Dades Valley through Rissani where will have you clapping a bit to visit its traditional souk considered to be the largest in the whole of Southern Morocco. Then to Todra Vally through many Berber towns and villages before we get to Todgha gorge, one of the most breathtaking places in Morocco. Todgha Gorge is also a good place for hiking and where the nomads coming down from the mountains to pick water from the river, time to walk and explore the area.

We’ll have a break for lunch then in the afternoon we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Arrive in Dades valley, dinner, and overnight stay at hotel/riad.

Day 6: Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, and High Atlas mountains.

After breakfast, we will travel to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou through the land of roses and the road of a thousand Kasbahs. Then we will reach Ouarzazate, famous as “the Hollywood of Africa”, where we will stop to photograph the Kasbah Taourirte and visit the world-famous film studio (Atlas Studios). We will then continue to the next point which is the ancient Kasbah of Ait-Benhaddou. This walled and fortified town was built right on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara and were a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 kasbahs and a small number of houses. Ait Benhaddou has been featured in several films, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.

After visiting the Kasbah, we will have a lunch break in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey across the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech’s ending. En route, we will make stops to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). Finally, our 6-day Morocco tour from Casablanca will end once we arrive in Marrakech in the evening at your accommodation.
