The 10 days tour from Casablanca travel package is customized by a Moroccan travel agency through the attractions admired by tourists. In this itinerary, you will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the only one in Morocco where Muslims are not allowed to enter. Then, you will be taken to admire the beauty of the blue city of Chefchaouen. Not only you will explore the cultural city of Fez, but also the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Furthermore, we will explore the fortress of Touaregs, the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. In addition, the city of Marrakech has much to offer. For example, the Majorelle garden and the Jamaa El Fna square. The tour ends with your return to Casablanca airport or your booked accommodation.

Trip itinerary

Day 1: Airport and Highlights of Casablanca – Rabat:
After arriving at the airport in Casablanca, you will meet your private English speaking driver to start the 10 days tour from Casablanca, first, you will go to one of the major wonders in Morocco: the majestic mosque of Hassan II, where you will meet a fascinating example of the Moroccan architecture. It is the kingdom’s largest mosque and the world’s fifth-largest mosque. After lunch, you will leave Casablanca the economic capital of Morocco, towards Rabat the political capital, where you’ll be visiting the Hassan Tower built in 12th-century, then we go to visit the Kasbah that goes back to the 11th-century fortress built in Andalusian-style, it gives fine views over to Salé and the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight accommodation in Hotel/Riad (BB).
Day 2: Travel from Rabat the capital to Chefchaouen:

You will depart from your hotel/riad after breakfast and head to Chefchaouen, the blue city. Of course, you’ll pass through a number of small towns and have breaks along the way. We will arrive at lunchtime, and you will enjoy a meal in one of the traditional restaurants located within Chefchaouen’s Medina. After lunch, you’ll have some free time to explore the blue city.

Chefchaouen is a Moroccan city located in the Rif Mountains in the northwestern part of the country. It is known for its old town’s beautiful architecture in various shades of fading blue. Its steep cobblestone passageways are lined with leather and weaving workshops. The Kasbah, with its red walls, fortress, and keep from the fourteenth century, is located in Outa el Hammam’s shaded central plaza and houses ethnographic and cultural exhibitions. Not far away, the Great Mosque’s octagonal minaret rises. Finally, spend the night in a hotel or riad (BB).

Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes via the Roman ruins of Volubilis, and Meknes :
After your breakfast, you will travel south via Ouazzan towards Fes. Before that, you will visit have the chance to travel back to the 3rd century by visiting one of the most important archaeological sites in the kingdom. It is Volubilis, ( Walili in the Arabic language) an attractive roman city or what we call the ruins of Volubilis, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. Afterward, we will shift to Meknes city where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historic huge walls of the old Medina, including Bab el-Mansour, and enjoy a visit to the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Then you’ll get to Fes in the late afternoon and check into your riad in the Medina. Finally overnight at a riad (BB).
Day 4: Guided tour sightseeing Fes:

On this day, we will explore Fes with a local guide. In the morning, we will send one of the professional guides to your Riad or accommodation. Then, some sites will be explored by car, others on foot. There are many things to explore. To start, we will explore the old Medina from the outside, visit the Royal Palace, a beautiful Ksar with 7 golden doors.

Next, we will visit Borj Nord, which is located on a mountain, and from where you can see a beautiful view of the whole medina. We will enter through the Boujloud Gate, the main gate. From here, the guide will take you on a tour of Al Qarawiyyin University, the oldest university in the world. Then, he will visit the Chouara leather goods factory. We will finish the day by giving you free time to explore Fes and then we will go to your riad/hotel. Overnight accommodation at the same riad (BB).

Day 5: Travel from Fes to Merzouga desert via Ifrane, Cedar forest and Erfoud:

Early today, We will continue our 10-day tour through Casablanca to Merzouga desert. We will travel through the Middle Atlas via Ifran “Moroccan Switzerland” and Azrou. You will have a stop at the cedar forest for a visit to CedreGoraud tree where you will see monkeys. From here we head further south, passing through several towns and you will have the opportunity to view nomads living in tents along the way. You will also see volcanic rocks.

Our next stop is Midelt where you will enjoy your lunch. Later, we continue our drive through the Tizi N’Talghomt pass (1907m) while enjoying the panoramic view. Afterward, we will drive through Ziz Gorge and the tunnel. Near Errachidia, you will see the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhilche has turquoise blue water. Continue our guide to Erfoud, you will have a stop for a panoramic view of palm groves of Aoufous along Ziz River. Arriving Erfoud is known for its date and fossil festival. Finally, we will arrive at Merzouga, the high point of travel in Morocco. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel located at the foot of the dunes.

Day 6: Merzouga sightseeing tour and Camel ride:

After breakfast, you begin your desert exploration and its sites. In Hassi Labied you will have a stop at the garden where you can see the irrigation canal. Near Merzouga, you will have the opportunity to see Dayet-Srji lake, which forms in the spring that attracts flocks of pink flamingos and wildlife; bird watchers will enjoy this quiet area. On the way to Khamlia, we expect to meet locals showing their desert foxes. In Khamliya, that’s mostly settled by Sudan’s indigenous people who have been used as slaves time ago. You will be welcomed with a friendly cup of tea (Berber whiskey) while enjoying their spiritual Gnawa music. Then, you leave the town and head to a panoramic view that overlooks the magical dunes.

Afterwards, you continue to visit a nomadic family, who live under the Berber tent and who are taking care of breeding cattle, goats, and camels. You will be introduced to the members of the family and get to know their way of life while enjoying the taste of a nice cup of tea. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to visit the sites of black volcanic rocks.

Thus, you go back to the Khamlia village to get your lunch, which would likely be the Berber Pizza. After lunch, we take a different adventure with camels trekking instead of 4 by 4 car via the dunes of the Sahara desert and get some beautiful time with the sunset view to reach the camp where you will spend the night. Enjoy dinner under a million stars. Next, you will be entertained with local drum music, dance around the fire. Sleep in a nomadic Berber tent.

Day 7: From Merzouga Dunes to Dades Valley via Rissani, Todra Canyons and Gorges:

If you wake up early enough, you can watch the spectacle of the sunrise, then enjoy your breakfast and shower in the camp and take your camel back to the hotel to meet your driver, and get ready for the new day. We will depart to Rissani to visit the local souk with the possibility to see the Fondouks where the donkeys gather, the interesting thing about this Souk is that it is not a tourist souk, but rather a souk for the locals. Continuing on our way to Tineghir via Erfoud “capital of fossil marble” you will be able to see the Khatarat (irrigation canal) on our route.

Our next stop is in Tinejdad or Tineghir where you will have time for lunch. Later, we will continue the road along the river to reach the gorges where you can walk on foot, through this extraordinary place, while enjoying the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters). After that, we’ll continue to Boumalen Dades and then to the Dades Valley, where you’ll have time to explore the magnificent sandcastles and the incredible rock formations known as “human bodies, monkey fingers”. Dinner and overnight at the riad/hotel.

Day 8: Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah and High Atlas mountains:
We will continue our 10-day tour through Morocco from Casablanca to the red city of Marrakech. First, we will visit the Valley of Roses in Kalaat Mgouna. Then, we will pass through Skoura to reach Ouarzazate, the city’s cinema where the Atlas film studios are located. Then we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, the Berber fortress built for the Touarges by the Glaoui family. It is also a place where films such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator were filmed. After lunch, we will cross the High Atlas mountains of the Tichka Pass. Forethermore, we will stop at the highest point of 2260m and another panoramic view of the road. Then we will stop at the argan oil cooperative before we leave for Marrakech and check-in at the lodge.
Day 9: Guided tour sightseeing Marrakech:
Full day dedicated to visiting the city of Marrakech. Of greatest interest is the old part of the city with its Medina, its main historical buildings: the Alì Ben Youssef Medersa, the El-Badi palace, the covered souk where we can admire all kinds of handicrafts, textiles, wrought iron, wool dyeing, woodwork, leatherwork, ceramics, silver… The large Djemaa el-Fna Square, an open-air stage where small entertainments and various curiosities take place at all times of the day……. the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Gardens, a small oasis of carefully cultivated plants, where you can visit the permanent museum of Berber culture. Finally, overnight accommodation will be at the same riad.
Day 10: Marrakech – Transfer to Airport of Marrakech or Casablanca:
Today we will transfer you to Casablanca/Marrakech airport depending on your flight details back home. Your 10 days tour from Casablanca ends at the airport.
